A prestigious waterfront property on Vancouver’s exclusive Golden Mile of Point Grey Road, this home provides the peace, convenience, security and serenity that you have earned.

Inspiring Venue

With views of English Bay rising above your ocean shoreline to downtown, from the coastal mountains over Stanley Park to the open waters of Georgia Strait and the western horizon, no day, no vista, no memories here are ever the same.

Eagles soar above billowing sails, whitecaps dance among cruise ships, fishing boats and freighters. Contemplate sailors, swimmers and paddlers on the water and around the harbour in the ocean breeze. The play of sun, clouds and colour, spectacular sunsets over open water, city lights reflected in the bay – every day brings a different perspective.

Perched over the beach and framed by parkland, 2711 Point Grey Road is an aspiring celebration of the natural beauty of the city, mountains and water in a location beyond compare. Point Grey Road, considered Vancouver’s most exclusive address, is a scenic mainstay for urban outdoor enthusiasts to jog, cycle and walk between world famous Kits beach and Jericho Beach to the west.

Mere minutes from downtown, University of British Columbia and Vancouver’s leading private schools, 2711 Point Grey Road is a home immersed in the heart of Canada’s most vibrant city. Yet the city is hushed as you step inside the double front doors to a different dimension of sight, sound and privacy in this superbly crafted house, built on a solid rock foundation. Your connection to the ocean is complete with the gentle sounds of waves lapping at the shoreline.

Comfortable Luxury in an Inspired Setting

Architecturally inspired to take greatest advantage of its waterfront location, the home’s design emphasizes natural light and view lines from the front entrance to its open decks. The floor plan flows thoughtfully, continually revealing ocean and city views through massive windows – largest the building code allows. Skylights and privacy windows splash sunlight into the main and upper floors, composing an aria of bright and welcoming spaces.

2711 Point Grey Road is a 4,623 square foot house of five bedrooms, with three generous balconies and rooftop deck space. Notable in its design is a practical approach to easy maintenance and durability using high-quality materials from around the world. This is a house built for you to situate your life in, evident as you take your first steps through the threshold.

The outside front entry is tiled with 24-inch by 24-inch ‘flamed granite’ pavers, sourced from Indonesia, slip-resistant and laid on solid concrete. Through oversized front doors, the main level floors are crafted from luxurious 24-inch tiles of polished South African granite. Admire the locally crafted, custom millwork in the oversized baseboards, door casings and the intricate stairway banister, a gracious nod to west coast woodworking.

Built to maximize sightlines to the water from as much of the house as possible, the home’s floor plan moves you from the entry, through the dining room and towards the ocean. As you step down to a bright, open living area, the full vista is revealed, out beyond the covered ocean view deck.

A fully-equipped kitchen, with casual dining area, is an expression in entertaining friends and enjoying family meals together in such a unique location, and every care has been taken to provide the clearest views across the water to the mountains and sky. Abundant counter space with polished granite backsplashes, polished granite floors, massive central island and full complement of Miele appliances, including steam oven. A separated wok kitchen encourages you to achieve your complete expression of culinary creativity.

The trio of upper level bedrooms, each with ensuite, includes a large master suite with a private outdoor deck providing forever views from east to west, downtown to Vancouver Island. Flooring features rich, warm carpets, with marble tiles in the bathrooms. Above it all is rooftop deck, which awaits your finishing touch as an exclusive view perch on the Kitsilano waterfront.

A longtime distinguished address on Vancouver’s waterfront, the property at 2711 Point Grey Road has pedigree and prestige. In the early 1900s, the first home named ‘Seagate Manor’ was owned by lumber baron Mr. Henry Leroy Jenkins, president & treasurer of the Vancouver Timber & Trading Company. In the 1920s, a new Seagate Manor was designed for Mr. E.A. Woodward, a Vancouver grain merchant. The Woodward’s family lived there until 1944. At the end of the war, the home was converted to apartments. In 1977 following demolition, the land was purchased by the Vancouver Park Board Land Acquisition Fund. Finally, a beautiful new home was constructed on the property in the mid-1990s and remains one of the most desirable waterfront locations in Vancouver.
